Srinu sent to police custody
HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police, who will have the custody of Julakanti Srinivas Reddy alias Moddu Srinu, the prime accused in the Paritala Ravi murder case, for two days from Saturday, hope to unravel the mystery behind the bomb that blew his cover.
A metropolitan court on Friday gave permission to the police to take him into custody for two days, but rejected a plea for his week-long custody.

Srinu got injured while allegedly making the bomb at a lodge. The police were asked to hand him over to the jail authorities after two days for continuation of his judicial custody.
In the court, the magistrate asked Srinu whether he was fit enough to be sent to jail, to which he replied that he was fine.
He also did not object to the police seeking his custody. Doctors at Gandhi Hospital, where he was admitted, declared that Srinu was fit enough to be discharged from hospital.
Srinu was sent to Chanchalguda jail on Friday afternoon, and the Cyberabad police are likely to take him into custody on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the Cyberabad police want to question Srinu primarily to know why he was making a bomb, who were his targets, who supplied the material for the bomb and who were his associates.

Since Srinu is a hardened criminal, police are reportedly planning to take the help of forensic experts and use modern interrogation techniques like a polygraph to unravel the truth.
Meanwhile, the CBI is also likely to move an application before the magistrate at Miyapur for his custody.
There is also a possibility of the CBI sleuths joining the Cyberabad police to question him in the Paritala Ravi case, though officially no one is coming on record to confirm the development.
Srinu is also wanted by the Hayatnagar cops for the murder of naxalite Venkat Reddy.
