WARANGAL: Hundreds of people on Saturday bid a tearful adieu to Kiran Buddhe, the 28-year-old software engineer who was killed in a shootout in South Africa last week.
The body was brought in an ambulance from Hyderabad at around 2 pm to the village and the anxious family members and other villagers gathered in large numbers at the residence of the deceased.

Warangal MP S Rajaiah, ZP chairperson, L Dhanwanti, MLAs Revuri Prakash Reddy, Kondeti Sridhar, MLC B Venkateshwarlu, collector N Sridhar, SP V C Sajjannar, and others paid their last respects to the deceased engineer.
Scores of people joined the funeral procession and the body was cremated at around 6 pm. As assured, the state government ensured the transportation of the body to the village at its own expense.
Kiran was shot at while he was going to his apartment in Johannesburg on July 4 and succumbed to his injuries in a hospital on July 7. The AP government has also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the victim's family.
