Sarada Peetham row: Telangana BJP calls govt’s move ‘atrocious, heinous’
Hyderabad: BJP state president N Ramachander Rao accused the Congress govt of targeting Hindu organisations, institutions, and temples in the state while resorting to the appeasement of Muslims.In a statement, he said the govt was attempting to demolish the Rajashyamala Devi Temple at Sarada Peetham. He described the Revanth Reddy govt's action as "atrocious and heinous". Rao stated that the temple, which belongs to the Visakha Sarada Peetham, was constructed on two acres of land allotted by the previous govt in 2019. "However, the Congress govt is now attempting to demolish the Sarada Peetham and the temple," he alleged.

Terming the Congress govt as a "crowbar govt", he alleged that it continued to attack Hindu beliefs and warned that the BJP would not remain silent if the govt touched the Sarada Peetham. The BJP state chief said the Congress govt was justifying the destruction of Hindu temples and the homes of the poor in the name of HYDRAA and Musi beautification, and was now attempting to demolish even mutts."The BJP will not tolerate the Congress govt interfering with Hindu temples and mutts. The party will fight relentlessly for the protection of Hindu Dharma," he said.
