Sahith leads the sub-junior pack

Hyderabad: On a day of light winds and challenging conditions for the sailors, Sahith Bandaram of Hyderabad district led the sub-junior boys fleet after the eighth race of the 6th Telangana State sailing regatta at Durgam Cheruvu here on Thursday. Sahith has 26 points.
Deekshitha Komaravelly topped the sub-junior girls category with 28 points. Deekshitha is also overall second behind Sahith.
In the sub-junior boys section, Mohammad Rizwan was second with 29 points. With two more races to go, Rizwan has a chance to topple Sahith for the top spot. But Deekshitha was well ahead of her nearest rival and her sister Lahari, who has 40 points.
In the junior boys category, A Sanjay Reddy of Medchal was on top with 14 points. On the distaff side, R Ashwini of Nagarkurnool was in the first spot with 16 points.
