HYDERABAD: Protesting the government���s decision to introduce 1,500 new Setwin buses in the state, National Mazdoor Union (NMU) decided on Friday to issue a strike notice to the APSRTC management on November 3. NMU president M Nageshwar Rao said that based on the government���s response, a two-day strike would be called on or after November 17.
Meanwhile, the government on Friday decided that Setwin buses would be restricted to colonies and rural areas and not on the RTC routes in cities.

In case of a strike, nearly 20,000 buses throughout the state will be off the roads and 1.32 crore of passengers per day will be hit.
