RTC bus driver killed in accident

The driver of an RTC bus was killed while 10 passengers suffered injuries when the vehicle hit a parked lorry on the highway at Peddamberpet late on Thursday night.

HYDERABAD: The driver of an RTC bus was killed while 10 passengers suffered injuries when the vehicle hit a parked lorry on the highway at Peddamberpet late on Thursday night.
As per Hayathnagar police, the deceased identified as K Sunil Kumar was reportedly driving at a high-speed towards Hyderabad from Badrachalam. The incident took place at around 1.30 am on Friday when the victim hit a parked lorry loaded with cement bags.

"Despite proper light conditions, the driver hit the lorry, where some workers were loading cement bags," Hayathnagar Inspector Narender Goud said. A case has been registered under Section 304 a (rash and negligent driving) of the IPC.
3 held in Vanasthalipuram murder case: Three brothers-in-law were arrested by Vanasthalipuram police on Friday in connection with the murder of Lalith Aditya on Thursday. The accused in their confession alleged that Aditya had been harassing his wife and used to physically assault her for petty issues.
Vanasthalipuram police said that Yashwanth Reddy, Prashant Reddy, Sai Prakash Reddy and their fugitive friend Sai Kiran Reddy on Thursday came to Sachivalaym colony, where the victim had been residing for the last three months with a plan to eliminate him.
"The victim was attacked with a knife. When the deceased fell down on the floor, they hit him with flower pots. When an assistant sub-inspector, who resides in the same house, tried to stop them, the accused pushed him aside and fled in their car," deputy commissioner of police (LB Nagar) Tafsee Iqubal said. The accused were nabbed from Ragannaguda village. Sai Kiran Reddy is still absconding.

AP Cooperative Society deputy secretary Srinivas Reddy on Friday for allegedly duping unemployed youths in the name of jobs in the office of the Prakasam collectorate and taking money from them. When the victims asked Srinivas to return their money, he intimidated them with his licenced pistol. Meerpet police said that the accused collected Rs 2.5 lakh from 10 people and gave them jobs as attendants in the collectorate. But during the special branch verification, it was found that all the recruited attendants were non-locals and thus, not eligible for the job. Some even provided fake certificates to get the jobs. The district collector scrapped their job offers in 2014.
Man held for duping unemployed youth: Without possession of a valid permission from protector general of immigration, labour department, a man who was running a fake job consultancy was arrested by Task Force sleuths on Friday.
Golconda cops said Syed Zafer Mohiuddin, who was running a job consultancy Travel Abroad was arrested for collecting money ranging between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh from gullible unemployed youth. After collecting money, the accused starts to avoid the victims since the former is supposed to provide visas to the job aspirants.
Student drowns: A diploma student drowned in Batasingaram lake in Hayathnagar on Friday. According to inspector Narender Goud six childhood friends went into the water body to have fun but one of them, Manoj Kumar, went deep into the lake and drowned. His body was recovered from the lake in the evening.
