Rs one lakh stolen from car

HYDERABAD: Thieves stole Rs one lakh cash from a contractor's car in Pet Basheerabad on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning, Bhanu Prasad, a contractor from Kukatpally, withdrew Rs one lakh from Dhanalakshmi Bank in Kukatpally and went to a construction site at Ganga Enclave in Pet Basheerabad.
He kept the cash inside the glove compartment of the car and parked the vehicle near the construction site.
After some time, the watchman of the site alerted Bhanu about the broken window glass of his car.
Bhanu Prasad rushed to his car. He found that the left side front window glass of the car was broken and the cash inside the glove compartment missing.
He immediately approached police and lodged a complaint. After a preliminary inquiry, police suspect that the thieves might have followed Bhanu's car from the bank.
A theft case was registered under section 379 of the IPC.
