Raja Singh’s case posted to Oct 31

Hyderabad: The HC on Friday posted the case challenging preventive detention of BJP’s suspended MLA Raja Singh to October 31.
Raja Singh’s counsel N Ramachander Rao said he would challenge the rejection order passed by the state’s advisory board under PD Act. State home department’s counsel Mujib Kumar Sadasivuni said the state has filed its counter in the matter and the advisory board has rejected the appeal filed by Raja Singh.
The state in its counter has said that preventive detention became essential because provocative speeches of Raja Singh were creating tension in the society. tnn
