Preparatory meet on state budget to be held today

The finance department is holding a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the state budget for the year 202324. The meeting will begin at 11 am and will go on until 6 pm. Representatives from 20 departments, including municipal administration and urban development, transportation, revenue endowments, panchayat raj, and others will attend the meeting. Several meetings have taken place in the last few months, and the finance department has directed other departments to submit their proposals for both the revised estimates of 202223 and the budget estimates for 202324. The finance department wanted the departments to look into new avenues for increasing their receipts and reducing leakages which would help the state earn more nontax revenue. Officials were tasked with improving employee performance by establishing required performance indicators at each level and presenting proposals for new schemes.

Hyderabad: The finance department will hold a critical meeting on Wednesday on the state budget 2023-24. The meeting will begin at 11 am and go on till 6 pm.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of 20 departments, including municipal administration and urban development, transportation, R&B, revenue, endowments, panchayat raj and others. Heads of departments as well as finance special chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao will attend the meeting.
