Preminchu hits a ton

the 100th day celebration of preminchu was held on thursday at satya sai nigamagamam. in keeping with the theme of the movie, producer dr d ramanaidu handed over cheques worth more than ten lakh rupees to blind and physically handicapped institutions. speaking on the occasion, dr d ramanaidu thanked the audience, technicians and artists for making preminchu a big success.i am very happy that this movie has been selected for indian panorama. i had taken up this project as a challenge. the ramanaidu charitable trust is an umbrella for helping out the blind and handicapped he said. chief guest and union minister for information and broadcasting sushma swaraj said, cinema as a media was playing a vital role in the society. she commended dr ramanaidu on his philanthropic activities and applauded him for having chosen the subject of a blind girl in preminchu. such movies were more of an education for people she added. gyanpeeth awardee, dr c narayana reddy said that he was very happy to be a part of this movie having penned the lyrics for one song. when dr ramanaidu asked my opinion about the movie, i told him that it was a very touching subject and he should go ahead and produce the movie. union minister for urban development, bandaru dattatreya, minister for information and broadcasting, s chandra mohan reddy, minister ayyanna patrudu and dasari narayana rao lauded dr d ramanaidu, the artists and technicians. sushma swaraj, bandaru dattatreya, t devender goud and venkatesh presented the mementos to the artists and technicians.
