HYDERABAD: One person was killed and five others injured in two separate accidents in the city in the early hours of Wednesday.
At around 7 am, a businessman, Chanti, 30, and his friend Madhu, who owns an auto trolley, were heading towards Balanagar crossroads from the Fatehnagar flyover when Madhu lost control over the auto and rammed into an RTC bus, plying between Hyderabad and Gajwel.

Chanti, who was sitting next to the driver, died on the spot. Madhu and another person Lakshmipathi, who was sitting in the trolley portion, suffered injuries, Sanatnagar inspector G Basawa Reddy.
Police registered a case against Madhu under Sections 304-A (causing death by rash or negligent act) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by an act which endangers human life) of the IPC. The body of Chanti was kept at Gandhi Hospital after post-mortem. His parents, who are natives of Guntur, have been informed, the inspector added.
In the second incident, three persons suffered injuries when a Tata Sumo hit a road divider and rammed into a Maruti Zen coming in the opposite direction on the flyover opposite Begumpet airport at around 6 am, Begumpet sub-inspector K Satish said.
The incident occurred when the trio__Ranjit Kumar, head, business development, Ereasoning, his wife Shilpa and aunt Karuna__were proceeding to Secunderabad railway station from Moosapet, while the Tata Sumo was going towards Begumpet from Secunderabad.

The Tata Sumo's driver overshot the road-divider and went to the other side of the carriageway and rammed into the Zen, injuring the trio. Ranjit Kumar suffered a head injury, while Shilpa and Karuna suffered leg fractures. They were rushed to a hospital in Secunderabad, the SI added.
The Sumo driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police seized the vehicle and have started a search to nab him.
