HYDERABAD:

ACB

sleuths arrested a town planning section officer of GHMC and two journalists for demanding and accepting Rs 2 lakh bribe from a property developer. The accused are S Madhan Raj, town planning section officer, S Srinivas, reporter with Mana Telangana daily, and A Kiran Goud, reporter with

Andhra Prabha

daily.

According to ACB, VL Keshav Reddy, an NRI from Punjagutta, lodged a complaint after Madhan Raj demanded Rs 2 lakh bribe through Srinivas and Goud to not demolish a temporary structure constructed by him on the terrace of his four-storied building at Jubilee Hills.

ACB laid a trap and caught Kiran Goud red-handed at the complainant’s building, while he was accepting the bribe on behalf of Raj. Srinivas, who was waiting outside, was also held. They were produced before special court on Thursday and were sent in judicial remand.
