Newly-married woman stabs her husband in Srikakulam district

Samayam Telugu: Police have detained a woman for stabbing her husband in

Srikakulam

district. The accused Neelima and the victim

had married on May 9 this year.


As per the police, Neelima was not happy with the marriage as she was forced to marry Naveen against her choice. Neelima's family's economic condition was not good and her family was not in a position to afford dowry. Her family happily agreed to marry Neelima with Naveen as he agreed for it without any dowry. She married Naveen under pressure from her family and relatives.

However, she was looking for an opportunity to get rid of Naveen. After speding about 20 days at her in-laws place, she went to her parents home at village Gadalam with her husband. While returning home, she stabbed her husband in throat at

Naveen was rushed to a nearby hospital by locals. He was later referred to RIMS in Srikakulam as his condition worsened.
