Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan is still assessing the two recommendations sent by the BRS government to nominate legislative council members under the governor’s quota. The names of Dasaoju Sravan and K Satyanarayana had been sent to her more than a month ago.

The criteria for eligibility include a minimum of 2 acres of land and a 3-meter-wide road network. This move is being made in preparation for the upcoming municipal elections in Haryana.

Minister condemns Tamilisai for criticizing state government
M P Saminathan, the State information and publicity minister, has criticized Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for making political statements against the Tamil Nadu government. He stated that it has become a trend for governors to act biased instead of being neutral, especially in states not ruled by the BJP. Saminathan expressed concern over governors making political statements, claiming it is a threat to democracy. He assured that the DMK will counter such threats.
