MLA suggests free treatment for cancer

of the Congress on Wednesday urged chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to launch a scheme for free treatment of cancer patients.

Jayaprakash Reddy has written letters to the CM and PM Narendra Modi in this regard. Even the Centre should come out with a scheme for free treatment of cancer patients or financially support the states if they come up with such schemes, Jayaprakash said. “Right from screening for cancer to the cure, the treatment is expensive as such the government should come out with a scheme which provides for free treatment from screening onwards,” he added.
