All his friends, Goverdhan, Bhuprakash, and Raju are from the same area in Mahbubnagar district and they also work for J Krishna Rao, according to police.
At around 2 am, Raj Kumar walked out of the room and started talking over the phone. At about 2.50 am, they heard a thud as if something fell from the terrace. They all rushed out and saw Raj Kumar lying in a pool of blood in front of the building. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said that before jumping off the building, Raj Kumar had called his younger brother Muralidhar at 2.37 am. "Raj told his brother, who was in Patancheru, that he was fed up with life and was going to kill himself. At 2.40 am, he sent an SMS to an unknown number saying - I am fed up with life. I am going to die. Bye bye," Punjagutta SI K Buchaiah said.
Police said that they were suspecting failure in love could be the possible reason for the extreme step. A case was booked under Section 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
