Malkajgiri
police arrested a man for conspiring to kill his
wife
who filed a dowry harassment case against him.
The accused is, Shiva Kumar, 38, a private employee from
Kukatpally
. In 2009,
Shiva Kumar married a 35-year-old woman from Malkajgiri. After a few years, the couple started living separately due to personal problems and she filed a dowry harassment case against Shiva Kumar.
Upset with his wife filing a case against him, Shiva Kumar offered a person Rs 2 lakh ‘
supari
’ to kill her. However, instead of taking money from Shiva Kumar, the person informed the complainant about the killing offer.
She lodged a complaint with Malkajgiri police two months ago and after a thorough probe, police arrested Shiva Kumar on Monday under Sections 115, 506 and 507 of IPC.
