Man arrested for damaging RTC bus

Hyderabad: In an incident of road rage, Golconda police arrested a car driver for damaging an

RTC

bus at Shaikpet.

On Wednesday morning, 33-year-old K Suresh, a private RTC driver from Basheerbagh, lodged a complaint with Golconda police, alleging that a biker intercepted the bus and pelted stones on the windshield when he was driving Barkhatpura depot RTC bus from Koti to Patancheru. After damaging the windshield, the accused fled away on his bike towards Gachibowli.

Police booked a criminal case for damaging the public property and arrested accused Abdul Hafeez, a car driver from Hakeempet, on Thursday.

“It was a case of road rage. The accused alleged that he suffered a minor injury due to rash driving of the bus driver and damaged the vehicle in a fit of rage,” Golconda inspector K Chandrasekhar Reddy said. The accused was remanded in judicial custody.
