Mallikarjun smashes unbeaten double ton; Akash, Mohul, Ravi, Majeed hit centuries

HYDERABAD: J Mallikarjun put the rival attack to the sword as he slammed an unbeaten double century, while Akash Yadav and Satwik Reddy chipped in with useful performances to help Cambridge XI post a 242-run win over Raju CC in the A-1 & A-2 Divisions (one-day) League-cum-Knock-out Tournament, here on Thursday.


Batting first, Cambridge reached 342 for two with Mallikarjun scoring a 138-ball 201 with 12 fours and 12 sixes. Akash too remained unbeaten on 106 (127b; 12x4).
Raju CC were never in the fight and were bundled out for 110 with Satwik taking five for 38.

Mohul Bhowmick struck a century to set up EMCC’s win over Kosaraju via the Norm Method. Bhowmick scored 104 (107b; 15x4, 2x6) as EMCC made 258 for seven. In reply, Kosaraju were restricted to 100 for nine.

Ravi Pandey (110; 101b; 12x4, 3x6) and M Ruthvik Yadav (5/47) fashioned Hyderabad Blues’ 88-run win over PKMCC.
