Hyderabad: Aam Aadmi Party president and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will visit Telangana soon as part of his party’s plans to extend its footprint in various states.
Asserting that AAP is the only alternative to the ruling TRS in Telangana, state leader Indira Shoban said the BJP is a communal party which should be suspended. At a press conference here, she said: “If the BJP wins the next assembly elections, it will drag Telangana back to 1980s.”
Criticising the TRS, she said: “Telangana’s education system is weak as can be seen in the happenings at IIIT Basara. Why cannot the state government fill 1.91 lakh vacant jobs.”
Shobhan said CM K Chandrasekhar Rao praised the education set-up in Delhi but has not bothered to implement it here. She also added that the TRS government was neglecting Mallanna Sagar reservoir oustees who have been demanding compensation.
She took a dig at the visit of farmers from other states to Pragati Bhavan, saying: “KCR should first make Telangana farmer the king before inviting farmers from other states.”
Indira Shoban said while contractors like Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy prefer joining the BJP to avoid legal cases, common people can look towards the AAP.
The AAP leader also questioned why Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh was booked under the PD Act now though several cases have been pending against him.
