KCR’s wife Shobha Rao, Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao visit Tirumala, offer thanks

TIRUMALA: After a thumping victory for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the recent assembly elections, chief minister

and several other family members on Monday arrived at Tirumala on

Vaikunta Ekadasi

to offer their thanksgiving prayers.


“TRS has won the confidence of the Telangana people and I am here to offer my humble thanks and prayers to Lord

Venkateswara at Tirumala

,” said Harish Rao. KCR had donated Rs. 5 crore worth jewellery to Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala in February 2017 as part of fulfilment of his vow for achieving statehood for Telangana. The jewellery presented included a “Saligrama Haram” weighing 14.148 kg and a Kantabharanam weighing 4.92 kgs. Telangana was the first state government to make such an opulent donation to TTD.
