KCR lauds Nikhat for gold at CWG

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday congratulated Telangana boxer, Nikhat Zareen, on winning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
CM KCR personally spoke to Nikhat Zareen over phone. “You have won the gold medal and made the entire nation proud,” he told her.
He wished for her to continue her winning streak in future as well and said that Zareen has once again brought laurels to Telangana and the country on the global platform.
The chief minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to encourage sportspersons in the state. TNN
