Around noon, Abdul Qadeer’s father Mohammed Abdul Quddus came out of the NIA office to have lunch. When waiting media personnel questioned him about the happenings at the NIA office, Quddus said they questioned him about his telephone calls to Pakistan.
“My maternal aunt lives in Pakistan. There is a marriage in her house and we were invited for the event. My family is making arrangements to go to Pakistan to attend the marriage. In this connection, some documents were exchanged between the two families for the visa. I told the investigators about it. We have done nothing wrong,’’ Qadeer told the waiting media personnel before walking back to the NIA office. Seven youngsters, however, were not allowed to come out of the NIA office till late in the night.
