Intermediate student ends life in Mancherial district

HYDERABAD: Allegedly upset over failure in the Intermediate results announced on Wednesday, an 18-year-old girl studying Intermediate I year died by suicide in Doragarivaripalle village in Mancherial district. The girl took the extreme step at her home minutes after the results were announced, said police.

Sub-Inspector M Ravi Kumar of CCC Naspur Police station said that they have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started an investigation.

Police said the girl was studying in a private college in Mancherial town. On Wednesday after the results were announced, she started checking her result in her elder brother’s mobile phone. But as she did not have a proper signal, she went upstairs to check her result.

When she did not come down even after a long time, her family members checked and found her dead in a room. Later, they checked her result and found that she failed in two subjects.
