Hyderabad Metro Rail ticket prices announced, commercial operations to begin Nov 29

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) on Saturday announced fares for its services, with minimum prices fixed at Rs 10 and maximum Rs 60.
Commercial operations will start from November 29 from Nagole to Miyapur at 6pm.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 30-km-long first phase of the HMR project on November 28.
"We will be issuing smart cards at Rs 200 each for commuters.

They can top up the card. For a single journey, we will issue tokens which would allow them to board the train," a L&T Metro Rail Limited official said.
Smart cards will be issued upon a security deposit of Rs 100. To encourage commuters, a discount of five per cent is also being offered.
HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy said large-scale public space creation and high quality street level facilities were being developed at Miyapur and all the 24 stations in the inaugural 30 km stretch of the first phase.
Replying to a query, Singh had said about 40 per cent of the motorised transport users may switch to Metro once all the three lines covering 72 km are functional.
Modi, along with US President Donald Trump's advisor and daughter, Ivanka Trump, will also attend the inaugural session of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in the city from November 28 to 30.
