Hyderabad: A day after announcing that he will quit Congress because he was unable to bear the humiliation being meted to him in the party, TPCC working president and Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy on Sunday said he would wait for 15 days more to meet party high command Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi before sending his resignation letters to them.
“I have the highest regard and respect for Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. If they give an appointment, I will explain to them what is happening in the party and the reasons for leaders like me being forced to leave the party. Even senior leaders of the party have requested me to postpone my resignation for a few days,” Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy said.
However, Jagga Reddy did not receive a phone call or invitation from the party high command until Sunday night.
Even AICC in charge of

Telangana Manickam Tagore

has so far not called him to ask the reasons for his decision to leave the party, sources close to Jagga Reddy said even as seniors, including N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka among others continued their efforts to convince the MLA to withdraw his decision.
