HC stays Arshad's arrest

HYDERABAD: Justice AV Sesha Sai of Hyderabad high court directed Miyapur police on Wednesday not to arrest Hyderabad Cricket Association president Arshad Ayub until further orders. The judge issued the interim direction while dealing with a petition filed by the accused who were urging the court to declare the criminal case registered against them by Miyapur police illegal. Police registered a case against Arshad and others following complaints that they took lakhs of rupees from people for allotting flats in Sky City at Miyapur, but failing to deliver the same.
