HYDERABAD: Alleging that unidentified persons posing as cops tried to abduct him, High Court advocate P Sudhakar Reddy lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police on Tuesday night. A little later, Nellore police also lodged a complaint against the advocate alleging that he had obstructed them from performing their duties.
At 6.30 pm on Tuesday, a team of Indukur police in Nellore district intercepted the car of Sudhakar Reddy on Road No.13, Banjara Hills, to check if the recently-kidnapped ZPTC member, Venkata Ratnam, was with him.
An argument ensued and realizing that the ZPTC member was not in the car, Indukur police left, Banjara Hills inspector P
Murali Krishna said. But the advocate lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police alleging that unidentified persons posing as police personnel tried to kidnap him.
Police registered separate cases under relevant sections of the IPC against both the groups.
