Harassed girl commits suicide on b'day

HYDERABAD: Harassment by a strangerpushed an Intermediate student to commit suicide on her birthday at her house inMusheerabad on Thursday morning.T Priyanka Naidu, 17, was a studentof Narayana Junior College in Narayanguda. Musheerabad inspector C RajeswarReddy said she hung herself to the ceiling fan with a stole in the wee hours ofThursday. "In a suicide note, Priyanka wrote that a person called Kailash wasresponsible for her death and that he should be killed," Rajeswar Reddysaid.He said Kailash had been harassing Priyanka by calling herconstantly on her cell phone and sending her SMSs. "A week ago Priyanka informedher parents about the calls, but they did not take it seriously. They wereshattered when they realised the impact the calls had on her," Rajeswar Reddysaid. Based on a complaint, police registered a suspicious death case.
