Group-1 jobs for cricketer Mohammed Siraj and boxer Nikhat Zareen: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy says cabinet will discuss
HYDERABAD: International cricketer Mohd Siraj and two two-time world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen may be given Group-1 jobs by the Telangana state govt.Chief minister A Revanth Reddy announced in the assembly on Wednesday that the proposal will be discussed by the cabinet and a decision will be taken.Revanth Reddy reminded that India won the T20 World Cup and Siraj was part of the Indian cricket team. “Siraj studied only up to Intermediate but has been able to reach heights,” the CM said. The CM wondered why Nikhat had not been given a job by the previous BRS govt. While Nikhat Zareen hails from Nizamabad, Siraj is from Hyderabad. Nikhat Zareen is presently competing in the Olympics in Paris. The Group-1 appointments would directly get them an appointment as DSP, if that is in the police force.
