<div class="section0"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-size:="">HYDERABAD: Minorities welfare minister Mohd Fareeduddin told the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday the government would initiate action to recover the Takia Chunnu Miya wakf property at Sultan Bazar from land sharks who have usurped it.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Earlier, MIM''s Akbaruddin Owaisi pointed out that the government had evicted people from houses constructed on a Hindu burial ground in Chandrayanagutta constituency.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">In the same spirit, it should take possession of encroached wakf properties.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">The government did not act on the Takia Chunnu Miya case though the encroachers lost their battle in the high court in 1999, he alleged.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Reacting to the criticism, the minister said the AP Wakf Board has initiated action to take possession of the property and approached the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad for demolition of structures raised on it.</span></div> </div>
