the judge asked the mch to explain as to how permissions were granted to the builders who made such constructions. justice ramana directed status quo to be maintained in these lands. the orders were passed in a writ petition filed by some persons challenging the action of the authorities in demolishing the houses situated near jaffarguda, gudimalkapur, near mehdipatnam, hyderabad. the petitioners claimed that the houses were constructed after mch had given permission. the authorities informed the court that the houses were constructed in excess land under ulc and that the said lands were taken possession by the golconda, mro in may, 1994. the judge was surprised as to how the persons kept on constructing the houses in the lands taken in possession by the government and the manner in which sale of such lands were taking place. justice ramana warned against violations to the status quo. further hearing will be on december 3.
