HYDERABAD: The depositors of Vijetha Agrofarms (India) on Monday took out a Chalo Assembly rally from Sundaraiah Park, Baghlingampally to Indira park demanding that the government liquidate Vijetha Agrofarms and pay back their money immediately.

HYDERABAD: The depositors of Vijetha Agrofarms (India) on Monday took out a Chalo Assembly rally from Sundaraiah Park, Baghlingampally to Indira park demanding that the government liquidate Vijetha Agrofarms and pay back their money immediately.
Later, addressing a public meeting at Indira Park, CPM MLA Nomula Narasimhaiah said it is the job of the government to see that the depositors are immediately given their money.

Though the government arrested Vijetha Agorfarms managing director and its directors on September 21 and seized their properties, they have all beenlet off on bail, CITU city unit S Narasimha Reddy said. As many as 17,000 families have been affected due to the non-payment of deposits, he added.
They are also taking drastic steps like committing suicide,� Reddy said.
Though several rallies and representations have been made to the ministers, there has been no action till now to help the depositors, Reddy said.
CITU state general secretary Bhupal, CITU city unit general secretary J Venkatesh also participated, according to a press release.
