HYDERABAD: IT companies, call centres, cyber cafes, ATM centres, IT training centres, hostels and mobile phone centres will now have to take trade licence from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation by paying the requisite fee shortly.
The GHMC has also decided to increase the trade licence fee from the next financial year beginning from April 2009.As of now about 400 types of trades are covered for taking licence to do business.
The GHMC has now added some more trades and businesses to the list. The health and sanitation wing has identified about 11 categories and decided to collect the trade licence fee from restaurants on boats, nurseries, leather goods shops, IT companies and other trades. "We have identified certain trades which are not covered and recently developed trades. They will be imposed trade licence fee very soon," GHMC additional commissioner R Rammohan Rao told TOI on Thursday.
