HYDERABAD: At sharp 11.55am on Monday the doors of the sanctum sanctorum — abode of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy — will be opened at the ‘mukhamandapam’, in the inner side of the Yadadri temple complex. The much-awaited inauguration ceremony will be attended by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and other VIPs.

After a gap of six years, the main temple doors — closed for visitors in 2016 in view of renovation works and construction of a Balalayam (temporary temple) —will be reopened and daily rituals will be performed. On Monday, the deities will be shifted to the main temple followed by shobha yatra, after which devotees will be allowed darshan.

A ‘maha kumbha samprokhana’ will also be performed, marking the conclusion of week-long rituals.
