Five Maoists surrender

HYDERABAD: Five armed militants belonging to the Galikonda Area Committee of the CPI Maoists surrendered before the Narsipatnam OSD Kartikeya at Narsipatnam on Saturday. The police claimed that all the surrendered members participated in the attack at the Theemulabanda coffee godown that took place in GK Veedhi mandal in Visakha agency recently.
According to police, all the members surrendered voluntarily at Narsipatnam on their advice.The five, belonging to the GK Veedhi mandal, were identified as S Balaram alias Siva, Gemmela Sannam Naidu of Cherukumpakalu, Gemmela Ramesh, Korra Praveen and Mamidi Venkata Rao of Kumkumpudi.
