Farmer dies as bike hits RTC bus

Hyderabad: An RTC bus caught fire after a fatal accident involving a 36-year-old biker near Achampet in Nagarkurnool district on Wednesday evening. The biker lost his life in the accident after the two-wheeler was dragged under the bus but luckily all the passengers got down before the flames engulfed the bus.
According to Achampet police, the accident occurred at Chennaram village on Hyderabad-Srisailam highway at 6.15 pm when the bike coming in opposite direction rammed the bus.“The bike was dragged for about 40 feet and sparks ignited the diesel leaking from the ruptured fuel tank,” police said. the 38 passengers going from Srisailam to Hyderabad disembarked safely.
