Hyderabad: With the opposition benches nearly empty towards the evening during the assembly session on Saturday, legislative affairs minister V Prashanth Reddy said when important issues, pertaining to grants, were being discussed, the opposition parties were showing no interest. “They are active only when they want to cast aspersions on the government or try to drive political mileage by making political statements in the House,” he said.
Animal husbandry minister T Srinivas Yadav commented that since the opposition was convinced that the government was doing a lot of good work, they had nothing to criticise it and therefore stayed away.
