Eflu students stage JNU solidarity protest

SECUNDERABAD: Extending solidarity to students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi in their fight against fee hike, over 200 students of English and Foreign Language University (Eflu)on Saturday staged a protest at their campus.
Although students initially planned to form a human chain outside campus, varsity officials locked the gates, forcing students to protest at the gate.
“We sought the permission of police to form a silent human chain, but were stopped. Although the admin of varsity has no jurisdiction on us outside campus, they called the police,” said Pradhuman Singh, a student.
Student council members tried to convince varsity officials to allow students to go outside the campus, but in vain.
