Efforts being made to impose one ideology on the country: Asad
Cleared: dkHyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said the Congress govt and police should take action against Youtubers who allegedly targeted a kova bun Muslim vendor at Medaram Jatara, terming their actions an attempt to create trouble on the pretext of "food jihad".
Speaking at the 68th revival day of AIMIM at Dar Us Salam on Saturday night, Owaisi said such incidents would increase in the state if not nipped in the bud. The revival anniversary was attended by the party's five MLAs from Bihar, 125 corporators and 83 councillors from Maharashtra civic bodies, and AIMIM state presidents of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Delhi. The corporators and councillors from Maharashtra came in a rally (convoy) of four-wheelers from Maharashtra to Dar Us Salam.Referring to the Muslim vendor's issue at Medaram Jatara, Owaisi demanded that the Telangana police book cases against those who harassed the vendor. "Maintaining law and order is the duty of police and the state govt. What tamasha was that? Such YouTubers are enemies of the country, I strongly condemn the incident," he added.Owaisi said the vendor was selling kova buns, but the YouTubers saw "food jihad" in it, and added that if they did not like the food, they should have informed police. He said those who stand up for their constitutional rights are branded enemies by communal forces. "Those who hold BR Ambedkar's Constitution close to their heart are seen as enemies by communal forces. Adivasis, who say they are attached to their land, unemployed youth seeking jobs, farmers seeking income for their agricultural produce, bearded men, skull-cap-wearing men and hijab wearing women and those who stand up to seek the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, are all portrayed as enemies. But this perceived enemy is the true patriot," he added.Stating that the country's founding leaders had envisioned an inclusive India, Owaisi said all out efforts were being made to impose one ideology on the country. He alleged that they were against Bharat's inclusivity, pluralism and diversity, and said RSS and BJP want to impose a singular ideology and reject constitutional values in favour of the Manusmriti. "These efforts run contrary to the preamble of the Constitution," he stated.Owaisi referred to Maulvi Allauddin of Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad leading a protest to the British Residency, and said Turrabaz Khan launched an attack on the British Residency. "Can RSS and BJP name a single member who was martyred in the freedom struggle against the British. We don't need them to teach us patriotism," he said.Referring to the recent controversy on Tipu Sultan in Malegaon municipal corporation and alleged remarks made by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Owaisi said a photo of Tipu was there in the copy of the Constitution, and that Nehru, Sardar Patel among others signed the first copy. He said Gandhi had termed Tipu as the embodiment of Hindu-Muslim unity. "Is BJP and Fadnavis bigger than Gandhi and Sardar Patel," he asked, accusing the saffron party and RSS of distorting history.Owaisi, along with those seated on the dais and the crowd at the public meeting, paid tributes to 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack by switching on the flashlights of their mobile phones. He demanded that PM Narendra Modi should completely put an end to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.Box:MIM floor leader in the assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi said the Constitution provides them the right and freedom to contest elections in any state. "Who are you to stop us? The Constitution gives me right to go anywhere, wear and eat anything, and can talk anything within the purview of the Constitution," he said in an indirect reference to AICC chief Mallikarjun's comment not to allow AIMIM to contest UP assembly elections, and also BJP and RSS carrying out campaign against hijab and other issues. On his part, Asaduddin Owaisi said Kharge knows only three things of Hyderabad, but there were many famous things of this historic city. Kharge had said Biryani, Sherwani and Pareshani (pareshani at an obvious reference to AIMIM).

Our leaders for vision, the Muslim community will love Hindus in India, not the Islamic neighs and support them at the time of war and sports . They did not envision through the terrorist activities to kill Hindus. They also envisioned to have a common civil code to all religious people to integrate all the population into one country. Are you accepting them now? Do you accept common civil code? You are a hypocrite when it comes to Muslims your argument is different from when it comes to other people. Who knows what buys and he was selling it made at medaram jatra. How come he has come all the way from khanal to make three 400 per day. Itâ s not in town. What was his plan to come all the way from kurnool. It seems he was associated with Muslim band organizations. Does he have a business license? Does the food was inspected by food inspector and certified.Read allPost comment
