HYDERABAD: A cricket betting racket was busted by the task force police on Friday with the arrest of nine persons, including two bookies.
The accused ��� M Srinivas Rao and S Durga Prasad, both bookies and assistant directors, and their punters K Subba Rao, K V Sesha Reddy, M Subba Reddy, K Rama Koteswara Rao, S V Satyanarayana, M Jitender and K J Saradhi were arrested after the police raided Kunal guest house on Road No 5 in Jubilee Hills.

Task force inspector B Limba Reddy said eight cell phones, colour television, betting chart and Rs 24,300 were seized from Durga Prasad's possession.
Durga Prasad was collecting betting from the people during the day-night cricket match between India and South Africa on Friday when the police nabbed him and his associates, police said.
The accused and seized material were handed over to the Jubilee Hills police for taking further action.
