HYDERABAD: A woman was found dead at her quarters in her employer''s house in Jubilee Hills on Saturday. Police shifted the body from Apollo hospital to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary on Monday for post-mortem.
Mild tension prevailed at the OGH mortuary premises when the scores of the relatives of the deceased 20-year-old woman Vijaya Naik alleged that she had been molested and then strangled to death.

The relatives also criticised the ''lackadaisical attitude'' of the police in investigating the case and alleged that Vijaya''s employer Vijetha Reddy and her son-in-law Venkat Reddy were responsible for her death and that they were making all attempts to hush up the case.
According to the Jubilee Hills police, Vijaya, 20, wife of Venkatesh Naik, had been working as a cook at Vijetha Reddy''s house on Road Number 78 in Jubilee Hills for the last three years.
However, she was found hanging in her quarters on Saturday at around 11.30 am by another maid servant Bharathi, police said. Bharathi informed Vijetha Reddy, who in turn informed the police about the death.
Immediately, police shifted the body to Apollo hospital where the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Police said Vijaya and Venkatesh migrated to the city in search of livelihood three years ago. While Vijaya was working as a cook in Vijetha Reddy''s house, Venkatesh was working as an employee in a club at Jubilee Hills.

Explaining the delay in conducting the post-mortem, Jubilee Hills police station inspector Y Vijay Kumar said, "We received the complaint from her husband Venkatesh on Saturday at 6.30 pm and could not complete the formalities for post-mortem on Sunday morning as Vijaya''s parents arrived from their native place in Mahbubnagar district only on Sunday afternoon.
"We have registered a case of suspicious death and investigations are on. We suspect the woman killed herself after her employer scolded her for not properly cooking food, the police inspector said.
