HYDERABAD: The presence of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the launching of a film starring Vishnuvardhan, son of film actor Mohan Babu, on Thursday will become a hot topic of debate in film and political circles. Naidu has consented to attend the muhurt of debutant Vishnuvardhan's shooting at Annapurna Studios after Mohan Babu personally requested him to grace the occasion. Naidu has confirmed his participation, according to information. The meeting of two estranged friends - Chandrababu Naidu and Mohan Babu - on a different ground assumed political significance. Mohan Babu was a business partner of Naidu and invested money in Heritage Foods but subsequently parted ways with the chief minister and launched a crusade against him. He had also filed cases against Naidu in the court. On the advice of some people in the film industry, Mohan Babu decided to build bridges with Naidu and reportedly met him a couple of times. Rumours are rife in political circles that Mohan Babu, who runs educational institutions in Chittoor district, might contest from Chandragiri assembly constituency, since N Ramamurthy Naidu no longer enjoys the confidence of the CM. With Mohan Babu falling in line, entire tollywood has become loyal to Chandrababu Naidu, barring well-known director and actor Dasari Narayana Rao, who is a Congress member in the Rajya Sabha.
