Chhatrapati Shivaji descendant Sambhaji Raje meets CM KCR

Hyderabad: Former MP Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje, who is the 13th descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji, met CM K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday. Apart from development issues, CM KCR and Sambhajiraje had a lengthy discussion on the political situation in the country, sources said.Sambhaji Raje, who is an independent politician, enquired about state’s welfare schemes for SCs/STs, BCs and minorities and the procedure adopted to implement them by Telangana government. He said that Telangana model and welfare schemes should be implemented in Maharashtra as well as rest of the country.The CM and the former MP opined that an innovative agenda aimed at public welfare was needed in the country. Before leaving, Raje also presented ‘Rajarshi Shahu Chhatrapati’ book to the CM.
