Bison Division celebrates Infantry Day

HYDERABAD: The Infantry Day was celebrated by the troops of the Bison Division at Basantar Brigade, Mehdipatnam here on Monday, commemorating the landing of the infantry to repel the Pakistani invaders from the Indian soil in 1947.
Bison Division general officer commanding (GOC) Major General K S Shiv Kumar laid a wreath at Basanth War memorial and paid homage to the martyrs.Andhra Sub Area commander Brigadier U W Deshmukh, Deputy GOC Brigadier G M Nair, Basantar Brigade Commander Brigadier P S Puri also paid homage.
Major General Shiv Kumar addressed the infantry troops and asked all ranks to work hard and strive to maintain the fine traditions and high standards of the mighty infantry. The event culminated with a Barakhana and a cultural show attended by men of the Bison Division.
