AZAD inks pact with GE for supplying nuclear turbine parts

HYDERABAD: Precision engineering Azad Engineering Private (AZAD) Limited on Thursday said it has been roped in by GE Steam Power to supply critical rotating parts for nuclear turbines.


The Hyderabad-based company said it had signed a long-term agreement with GE Steam Power and had already delivered the first set of these critical parts, which will be assembled on nuclear turbines by GE at Belfort in France.

Rakesh Chopdar, MD, Azad Engineering, said: “We are the first and only Indian company to get approved for the supply of nuclear parts.”
