HYDERABAD: A four-day French animation film festival will be inaugurated by French ambassador Dominique Girard here on Monday.
Organised by Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad in collaboration with the Children’s Film Society of AP, the festival aims to present the richness of French animated cinema through techniques such as clay modelling, puppets, pastel under camera, film and computer generated images.
The films scheduled for screening at Sarathi Studios preview theatre, Ameerpet from Monday at 6.30 pm include — Modern Tales, The Menagerie, Familiar & Unusual Worlds, Whodunits and Chases and Taking Flight. At Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Nampally, the film The Menagerie will be screened on Monday at 10 am and Whodunits and Chases on April 16 at 5 pm and Taking Flight on April 18 at 10.30 am.
Hyderabad Film Club president B Narsing Rao and Heart Entertainment Ltd managing director Venkat Akkineni will be guests of honour.
Organisers of the event have expressed confidence that the four-day French animation film festival will be attended by a large number of children.
