HYDERABAD: The Alliance against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) asked chief minister

In a meeting headed by Justice Chandra Kumar (retired), members of Alliance decided to undertake a ‘Boycott NPR’ drive across Hyderabad from March 1 to 15.

“The questions in the NPR form, used to gather information from the citizens, are objectionable,’’ said Justice Kumar at a press conference in the city.

Co-conveners of the Alliance Mohd Sadiq Ahmed, Vimala Morthala, Sara Mathew, Khalida Parveen strongly objected to the detention of protesters and said the Act was against the spirit of the Constitution.

They also insisted that CM explain the government’s decision to permit minsiter of Home Affair Amit Shah’s public meeting in the city.

“KCR must clear his stand by ensuring early passage of a resolution against CAA, NPR and NRC in the Assembly. We also demand that he roll back NPR process immediately,’’ said members.
