HYDERABAD: A civic contractor and three others were arrested by Jubilee Hills police on Thursday for allegedly advertising online about the sale of a medicine to treat Covid-19 by claiming it was developed by Bathini brothers, who are famous for providing fish medicine to asthma patients. Police said that based on a complaint given by Bathini Harinath Goud, four persons -- Raj Kumar, P Subba Rao, N Uday Bhaskar and M Mahindra — were arrested while another accused Satish Reddy is absconding. The accused collected money from various persons and supplied some spurious products.

Surely TJ people have behaved thoughtlessly endangering the lives of scores of people. The people responsible for conducting this event should be found out and stringent punishment meted out. Similarly the disgruntled elements who were responsible for gathering hundreds of labourers in Bandra and Payippad in Kerala should also be taken into custody for lifetime jail term.
