3 Naxalites shot dead in Guntur

HYDERABAD: Three People’s War (PW) naxalites, including a dalam commander, were killed in an encounter with police in Guntur district on Tuesday. The shootout took place when a police party on routine combing operation cornered the naxalites on the outskirts of Chandrajupalem village, Guntur district superintendent of police Seetharamanjaneyulu said.
The PW commander of central Palnadu Guerrilla Squad, Eashwar alias Madhav,who was carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head, a deputy commander of Bellamgadda dalam, Adi Reddy alias Shiva, and a dalam member were killed in the encounter, the SP said.
The trio was involved in more than 10 offences, including murders and robberies, he said.
